Teaching in the local primary and secondary schools allows teachers to gain international teaching experience while immersing themselves in a fascinating culture. Teachers can expect to earn a lucrative salary, but should be prepared for the challenges that will accompany an educational reform of this breadth. Only licensed public school teachers with a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience at the relevant level will be considered for these positions.

Start Dates: August/September 2011
Contract Duration: 2 years
Location: Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Gharbia (See descriptions below)
Student Level: Kindergarten to Grade 3; Grade 10-12 English
Working Hours: 07:30-14:00, Sunday to Thursday
Monthly Salary: AED 12,300 - 20,400 Tax Free (approx $3350-$5500 USD)
Visa: Sponsored by the school
Number of Vacancies: 500
Housing: Single housing provided; furnished apartment or furniture allowance
Flight: Return airfare; Airfare provided for candidate, spouse and up to 3 dependents

REQUIREMENTS

• University Undergraduate Degree (in any discipline)
• Qualified Teacher Status/Certified Teacher (certified to teach in your state/province)
• Minimum 1-2 years teaching experience at relevant level (English preferred)
• Experience with educational reform or international teaching preferred
• Native English Speaker
