LEED Project Quality Engineer (Pittsburgh, PA) USA

Hi and good morning,
SRI, an international company based outside Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking qualified individuals to join its Green Building Design Practice. As we grow, we are seeking engineers to apply the standards and principles of LEED to review the quality of projects and designs that intend to become LEED certified. Candidates must be able to provide technically thorough, concise review comments for new construction, existing building, core and shell, interiors, and other applicable projects. Key requirement for applicants is energy modeling experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conducts LEED reviews to ensure that LEED design practices and requirements are met.
2. Performs quality control (QC) assessments of all project designs.
3. Provide responses to questions raised by project teams.
4. Provide feedback to technical teams and managers.
5. Attends the US Green Building Council’s GreenBuild conference and meetings.

Qualification/Competency Requirements:
1. Mechanical Engineering/equivalent degree, with 4 years of appropriate practical work experience.
2. Documented energy modeling experience.
3. LEED AP, with or without specialty credential; LEED Reviewer Certification a plus
4. Training and proficient knowledge of LEED and applicable standards (ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1 and 55).
5. Proficiency in, or knowledge of, a variety of computer software applications for energy modeling and office work.
6. Ability to work independently.
7. Proficient in technical writing skills.
8. Fluent in English
