The Information Architect will plan, design, develop and project manage information architecture of a
website, such as user journey, site structure, interfaces, etc. Taking into account not only the purpose and
goals of the clients, but also the best way to articulate those purposes and goals to the target audience. This
includes supporting policies, tools, standards and training so that website audience can easily locate
information.
Qualifications
- Should have post-secondary education รข€“ either at the degree level or a relevant professional
diploma or certificate
- 5-8 years work experience in an information architecture role, preferably obtained in an
online/digital agency environment.
- Strong webmaster with system / server administration knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of site design; mastery in principles of Web design (HCI, HTML, XHTML, CSS)
-Strong knowledge of information design principles and well developed skills in interface design
(wire framing, story boarding, mock-ups, interface elements and icons) and user case modeling
(flow charts, scenarios and information architecture (site maps and navigation).
- Ability to define and implement design guidelines, best practices, and standards in order to
enhance business efficiencies, search engine optimization and usability performance.
- Understand best practice Search Engine Optimisation principles and techniques. Have a solid
understanding of content management systems and e-commerce systems.
- Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology
- Good command of architecture-related software (Visio, Photoshop, MS Office, Acrobat,
Dreamweaver)
- Working knowledge of User Centric Design Principles and Practices
- Knowledge of database administration concept and Interwoven TeamSite are advantage
